Security patch OCT2014 for 1.2.0.4

  • Hello,
  • Our OS is Linux x86-62. We have multiple ORACLE HOMEs on our server, 11.2.0.2 and 11.2.0.4 .
  • The pre-requisite for installing this patch is "listeners should be down". We have a common listener for ALL ORACLE Homes.
  • I would like to confirm that to install the patch, I can shut down the databases already on 11.2.0.4, stop the listener, start the listener from 11.2.0.2 ORACLE HOME and start the patch installation for 11.2.0.4.
