Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Disk Storage 2000, 3000, 6000 RAID Arrays & JBODs (MOSC)

Does anyone know if cam installed on 4170 with a J4400 can report a disk failure like these one.

I have an opportunity to connect 30 JBOD on ASR, but I don't know if the following error type will be reported.

I have 2 different cases here.

Case 1

sd 1:0:0:0: Device not ready

sd 1:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x08000002

Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE,SUGGEST_OK

sdc: Current: sense key: Not Ready

Add. Sense: Logical unit failed self-configuration

raid5: Disk failure on sdc, disabling device. Operation continuing on 9 devices

md: md0: sync done.

sd 1:0:0:0: Device not ready
