Changing a resource defined as an OSP resource to a standard resource in EAM

Is there any concern I should be aware of when changing a resource defined as an OSP resource to a standard resource in EAM?
eBusiness R12.1.3. I have several resources that were defined and configured to be used as OSP's. The business has decided to go in another direction but they want to use the resources already defined.
Some of these OSP resources have been used on work orders, creating purchase requests and purchase orders. No receipts have been created.
The resources are used on maintenance routings.
