Reg. Gift Card Centralization Customization

Hello All,

We've got a requirement from client to centralize the gift card lookup functionality (similar to store credit lookup that exists in base) instead of validating it with third party provider.

I just want to know are there any guidelines/document available for extending the POS-CO transaction integration web service to achieve the same?

If yes, could you please redirect me to the same. Please note that I'm working with 14.0.x version.
