Defaulting a UOM in ship confirm - WS A 7.3

Hi,

We need ASN (advance shipping notice) for certain items to be sent in a particular UOM ( Pieces) . We are planning to define the primary unit of measure for these items  as Each and then a conversion of 1 EA=1 Piece. Is there a way of defaulting the shipping UOM to say Piece. I tried it by defining Shipping UOM for items as PC (piece) but it still ships with EA( Each). To sum up, need defaulting of a particular UOM during shipping regardless of order UOM. Please advise if there is any setup. (Or if defining PC as
