8.1.1.11 Siebel Open UI >>open sidebar and <<close sidebar icons

We are in development stages of Siebel Open UI 8.1.1.11 patchset 9.  We have just seen two new icons show up, the >>open sidebar and <<close sidebar icons just below the View Threadbar in both Chrome and Firefox when logging in to the server.  We do not see them on our locals and cannot reproduce them locally.    We do have Sidebars set to None   #sidebarCloseButton{display:none} and  #openSidebarButton{display:none}.sidebarTreeNav{display:none} in the theme-nav-tab.css file.

We cannot find out what caused them to start showing, but we really need them to go away.  Any help is appreciated..
