Disk drive firmware upgrade in X series server with Windows Operating System

I have came across a bug while troubleshooting disk failures in X6270 server. There is a field action bulletin(1512680.1) which describes about a bug which causes seagate disk drive failures. When I checked the current running firmware version on the drive, found that it is susceptible to failure. I got the patch id(given below) also which contains fix for this issue.

540-7869

390-0449

300GB 10000 RPM Disk

0D70

140493-07

The patch given above is applicable for only Windows and Linux and I got the procedure to perform the upgrade on those platforms. Now my question is how can I upgrade the firmware of the disk with Windows Hyper V or other Windows server versions as running Operating system?
