LOV to be attached to the Bank Details KFF for the Bank Name segment

The requirement is to attach an LOV to the Bank Name Segment in the Bank Details KFF

This KFF is used on the Personal Payment Method Form

The segment has a Free Text Value Set of 60 characters attached to it. Data is already present in the system.

Can I go ahead and create a new Value Set with all the bank Names that would be used and attach it to the segment so that employees can pick up the Bank Name while entering the payment method

What would happen to the existing data in this scenario
