Long running statistic-collection

Hi,

we are using ESRIs (ArgGIS) for working with spatial datatype.  The geodata are holding in tables of our Oracle Standard 11.2.0.4. ESRI is the middleware, between database and applicationserver.

Our problem:

The nightly collection of optimizer statistics takes very long time (7 hrs). Thats why some tables has no statistics, with known implication in poor query performance.

ESRI knows that problem ( 42983 - In Oracle, why does it take a long time to build statistics on large ST_GEOMETRY data? ) and say only Oracle versions lower 11.2.0.4 are affected. But we use 11.2.0.4.

Can anybody help me?
