Slow file readings on zfs

Hi all,

I hope to post in the correct section. Please point me in the correct one if I'm messing up...

At work (a research institute) I have a machine hosting several zpools - each pool is made up by 2 raidz2 of 11 3TB SAS disks each (60T shown by zpool list) with several zfs on them - all exported via SMB.

One of these pools has a 30TB+ zfs on it used for saving images acquired with high resolution microscopes - a single image can be 300GB+ and more images are saved for each run.

This fs/pool, since some months, suffers terrible performances: while normally, on other pools/fs, our users can read up to 3-400MB/s, on this zfs much of the files can be read only at 2MB/s - obviously this is a major problem when dealing with giant files.

Howdy, Stranger!
