How to update Supplier site user defined attributes, using API?

Please help to advise on how  to update supplier address site level user defined attribute values using API's.

We have defined 2 attributes at the Supplier site level, It could be updated through the Supplier maintenance screen successfully. However when trying to update the value through EGO_USER_ATTRS_DATA_PUB.PROCESS_USER_ATTRS_DATA API, we encountering the below error message.

Error Messages :

There is a problem with the User-Defined Attributes metadata defined for the Object "PO_VENDOR_SITES_ALL" in the database.  Please contact an administrator for assistance.

Please advise how to debug further to identify the cause of this error.
