Alert for Master Item creation ??

Hello Gurus,

I am looking for the Alert to make for the creation of the new Item. The scenario that I am looking for is just like when user created the Master Item and saving the record the alert automatically triggered and email has raise to the nominated authority that for the Item creation ??

Kindly suggest me is it possible ??
