Work Order Closing affect

It is recommended by oracle to close inventory period every month. Now assume maintenance work on one asset didn't finish with in one month assume it took 11months to finish maintaining it. During this period multiple items were issued on different periods. As you know at the time of material issuance following entries will be passed
Dr.WIP Valuation
Cr.Inventory account
at time of closing
Dr. Maintenance account
Cr. WIP Valuation
how will costing be affected? Since maintenance account will be updated at the end? will it have any impact costing wise? At the end of the year will there be any difference in terms of inventory account and maintenance account values?
