What are the risks of running a prod

edited Dec 9, 2014 10:01AM in Exadata General (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Looking for input(risks) on Prod/DR environments being out of Sync for an extended period of time – two/three months….

One of our SSC Exadata accounts for my customer is running into a very unique situation…

They are currently running with these versions:

DB for both Primary and Standby: 11.2.0.3.24

   Storage Standby: upgraded to 11.2.3.3.1

Storage Primary: Running right now on 11.2.3.3.0

We were going to upgrade Storage to 11.2.3.3.1 on PROD weekend of Dec 6th, but Customer Executives decided to freeze all activity on the prod environment and  push this work to next year.

Question to you is: Is there anything documented on this ( run on different versions at Storage level between primary and standby for an extended period of time) or risks for not upgrading that you could provide?

Howdy, Stranger!
