Statement generation program (ARXSGP) performance

We are getting increasing run time issues in running statement for our largest statement cycle which has in the region of 50,000 customer profiles (EBS R12.1.3)

Today is has run for 4.5 hours. During this time both the applications and database servers are very lightly loaded.

We have also seen over the last few months that this statement cycle has ended with ORA-01555 but when we resubmit it at a quieter time it completes OK and usually quicker.

As we are not able to schedule statements it is tricky to schedule to run overnight.

I have reviewed note 1605491.1 and we have the R12 patch in point 8 applied. Although the issue seems similar to the 11i issue in point 4 and 6 as this is the statement I can see being executed (i.e. INSERT into ar_statement_line_clusters).
