Checking Printing Options

We print checks from Oracle Payables 11.5.10.2 and are researching other options.  How do you print checks?  Do you create a file and send it to another source to print?  Do you use a third party software?  Any other options?  We currently print checks using the Everygreen format from Oracle, with the signature card.  Is there another way to add the signature besides using the signature card?  This device does not use current technology and plugs into the parallel port instead of USB.  Thanks!   Mary
