impdp runs slow and following in the alert log "The value (167) of MAXTRANS parameter ignored."

We are running oracle 11.2.0.3 on windows 2008 r2 server.

we have this import job that runs daily and sometimes it runs in a few mins and sometimes it runs in 3 hours or more.  I can't figure out what is making it hang, but when it hangs I find alot of these messages in the alert log:
