How to calculate the correct rate for the first month of Translation?

Hi, how can I calculate the correct rate to be used in Translation for the first month following the conversion? I found various notes stating that the first month of translation will produce an incorrect CTA balance and that the rate used should be calculated. However, I have not been able to find guidance as to how this rate should be calculated, or 'backed into' as instructed by a few articles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
