Sun T5220 / turn hardware RAID into host-based mirroring

Hi Folks,

is there a procedure known to turn hardware RAID (RAID1) volumes using the internal LSI Logic Raidcontroller into "legacy" host-based mirroring without having any data loss ?

Background :

We´ll need to split existing mirror for solaris upgrade and we´d like to keep one disk as failback.
