How to print character reports in dot matrix printers developed in Reports 11g

We have successfully migrated our Oracle 7i database along with forms 4.5 and reports 2.5 applications into oracle 11g database and tools. We were extensively using dot matrix printers to print the reports that are generated in reports 2.5. Now the reports are produced on the web (with in browser). This web enabled reporting forces us to generate either PDF or htmlcss type output. In PDF report format our dot matrix printer prints the reports at slow pace (graphics printing). Now we would like to print the character mode reports without web layout. How to proced? Thanx in advance
