Need to copy information in base descriptors

Hi,

We have found that we have set up a base descriptor in iProc catalogue admin as a text value and not number (its a list price as we're not using advanced sourcing)

I can create a new base descriptor as a number, but am I able to copy the data from one attribute to another (with a bit of SQL) and which tables do have to do it on as there seems to be a number of tables with the same information in them
