Unable to approve the Blanket release with Approval status " In-Process"

Hi All,

I am Unable to approve the Blanket release with Approval status " In-Process". below is the scenario.

Blanket release is with Approval Status " In-Process".  On checking the action history it is found that Approve action is been completed and performed by XYZ user. XYZ has approval limit to create and approve the release.

Now, We found that XYZ user is inactive from last year. We tried below solution but it did not work.

1. workflow Re-try activity of document. But it did not change the status.

2. Tried to forward the document using "Forward Document" but could not find the document in LOV.
