OVM 3.2.8 Image File Timestamps

Hi there,

I'm doing a SAN migration where I need to copy 6.5TB of repositories from HDS to EMC.  All the 90+ VMs' filesystems reside in repositories.  My action plan includes copying the image files by running 16 concurrent rsync's from the 11 VM servers.

During our tests, we discovered that the modification timestamps of a significant number of image files are not updated when we shut down the VMs.  As a consequence, rsync didn't seem to pick up those image files on subsequent runs.  Some image files have timestamps going back a couple of months even though their VMs have been running all this time.
