Extend the life of suspended assets

PS 9.1 I need to suspend the life and depreciation for an asset.  Currently when my assets are suspended they keep the same life.  For example, an asset created in 2000 with a 15 year life and three years of suspended depreciation would still be fully depreciated by 2015.  My client is asking that the life also be suspended.  The asset wouldn't be fully depreciated until 2018.
