ARM profiles can be deleted even if previously used for Reconciliations?

In some cases, existing profiles no longer have any associated GL Balances. To eliminate the need to continue reconciling those profiles, can these profiles be deleted so that they won't be copied to future periods?

Would like to confirm that if Profiles have been used for Reconciliations for past periods, there is no adverse affect in deleting the profile if it is not needed going forward. Is this correct?
