EBS 12.2 build stage using Vision or Prod?

HI ALL
currently i'm upgrading my EBS 12.2 to 12.2.4

but i'm confused at build stage

do i need to do build stage using VISION database or PROD database?

what if i do build stage using neither VISION nor PROD?

will the build stage will succeed?

i'm doing the build stage in EBS apps tier and my database is 11.2.0.4
