Patch your ODA up before adding a second JBOD (ODA storage shelf) for X4-2 or X3-2

To all: Please provide feedback on your experience adding the Second Storage shelf* to the ODA.


JBOD problems usually occur during a few different time windows:

  1. During the initial installation and deployment of the ODA    -- These problems are usually fairly easy to fix as cabling or basic installation problems -  basically generic steps during the install / deployment
  2. **Some time after the original ODA deployment                      -- This scenario is when we add the second JBOD notably later than the install: Often in the range from days to months after after the initial deployment
  3. Reimaging  sometime after a previous successful deployment ( basically #2 plus re-image + deployment)
