Additional SO lines added at P4617

We are using advanced WMS and TMS and need to add additional packaging (must be added as SO lines) at Packout. The shipment also needs to reflect the additional weight of the packaging but we would like to avoid having to update both the shipment (pieces) and SO lines with packaging details. Does anyone have any ideas to how to handle this?
