How do I implement 3590 emulation in an SL8500 configuration of 1 VLE and 2 VSM5s which are currentl

I have an SL8500 VSM environment where both of my VSM5s are emulating 3490 tape.  We recently encountered an error on a large FDR/Upstream backup that hit the 255 volume maximum.  What do I have to do to position 3590 emulation in my SL8500 environment??  Thanks!
