Can we control or regulate a typical status flow for a Manufacturing Shop order using Work order act

Hi,

Can we control or regulate a typical status flow for a Manufacturing Shop order (Work order Type 02 in P40040) by setting up Work order activity rules like an example type "W2" & Order Type"S".

I tried in demo, but it's allowing status changes other than specified in activity rules.

Please guide
