11GR2: Dataguard implementation

Hi ,

We are implementing Dataguard in Production.   Due to size of database, we had to ship backup to DR site to create standby database.   However , the backup was taken before the following parameters was set in Primary database.

LOG_ARCHIVE_CONFIG

LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2

FAL_SERVER

Additional standby redologs in Primary.

Now, if we create standby database using the backup before the parameters was set in Primary,   will we be able to implement dataguard .  Or do we need to take a fresh backup after setting the above parameters in Primary.

Please advise.
