RMAN Tape backup consumes much CPU

Hi everyone!

In my environment we backup all databases to TAPE.

Only with one database we have trouble. It's physical standby database and when rman backup is issued it consumes much CPU (was ~40% become 95%).

I cant understand why it is so. It's of course nocompress. And as I know tape backups dont consume CPU. But this does!

Any ideas?

My only thought - that it's because of database role - physical standby, and that it's operating real time applying changes from primary db.

Am i right?

Thanks!
