Capture Item logistics info when entering sales order

Hi Order management experts,

In sales order form when I enter sales order and its lines
I want to capture some info - that is extracted from Master item form in inventory- of entered item to be saved with the specified SO like item weight,dimension,pallet weight and no of carton on it
we wanna to do this log info
because the mentioned above items attributes changed from time to time
therefore they should be kept in somewhere not calculated on the fly
so any ideas PLS

or is there a standard functionality
