Preventive Maintenance Case

hi,

i have a question assume we have preventive maintenance for an asset on 1st Jan 2014 (rule based) but actual works starts on 10th Jan 2014 how can we accommodate this in work order? on 10th Jan 2014 how will be create this work order when the date has been exceeded by 10 days?
