Very large ZFS ARC cache

I raised an SR this morning but thought I'd ask others' advice/experience too.

Server has 256GB memory physical.

It runs an Informix database server which is using about 118GB which it allocates at database start-up (9 days) ago, and which is unlikely to increase .. but it's possible.

The ZFS cache is currently taking up 116GB and increasing all the time, so that the amount of free memory reported by, say, vmstat is dropping all the time - currently 23GB but was as low as 8GB until we bounced another Informix server to reduce its memory footprint by 25GB.
