Oracle Asset Tracking without Defining Inventory Items

Problem Description --------------------------------------------------- Can we utilize Oracle Asset Tracking or Oracle Install Base Features for Fixed Assets created from Non Catalog PO without any Items? The Business processes a large number of Non Catalog Request without Item defined in Oracle Master Items, which are later on added to Fixed Assets after AP - Invoices are created.  As per my understanding the Item needs to be defined in Master Item and Track in Install Base must be enabled for Asset Tracking to Track it. Could anyone please clarify if we can track this Non Catalog Request in Oracle Asset Tracking.
