Siebel 8.1.1.10 Concern with Activity\SR comments Field List applets. The pop up does not exist

Text area Fields are not expanding in IE9 the way it is expanding in other browsers. If we drag the comments field to make it wider, the contents and scroll bar still remain in the middle of the field. It is very difficult for customers to work on text area fields where it has large content (around 1000 to 2000 characters).

If this is product defect . Any work around would be helpful
