Budgetary control without full encumbrance accounting functionality...

Hello,

we need to use budgetary control, and funds reserve checking at transaction level, without  encumbrance accounting (I mean, we do not need to control the encumbrance accounting every year, end-year close for encumbrances, or to check the encumbrance journals) but still want to check whether there are funds available when creating requisitions, PO's or AP invoices. It is posible to do a correct budgetary control (summary level in our case) without the need to send all the accounting of encumbrances to GL?
