EAI Siebel Adapter Update a Explicit Join Field

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know if we can update a Explicit Join field in an IC through EAI Siebel Adapter Update operation for a existing record without the join specifoication field (Foreign key) coming in the incoming message from External System. For eg - for Account if Industry Code (changes everytime) comes from external system and the join between Account and Industry is based on Industry Id (same in siebel). We need to update the Industry Code only in the joined Industry record to Account. Is it possible by any way. I tried configuring dummy unbounded static picklists and
