Install, Upgrade, Clone, Patch - EBS (MOSC)

ADOP .... UGH! ... SO SLOW!

So I applied a small patch using the following:

adop phase=prepare,apply,finalize,cutover,cleanup workers=16 patchtop=D:\Patches\xxxxxxxx

This took an incredible 1 hr, 9 mins to complete.  The patch itself took just about a minute (maybe less) to be applied.  So all the other ADOP admin stuff took 1hr, 8 minutes. 

Am I missing something?  Is this what I have to look forward to now with ADOP because Oracle was so focused on eliminating down-time with this new patching technology?  I have a very small environment, so this trade-off between small down-time vs time-to-patch is an absolute HORRIBLE trade-off for us.
