Approval Hierarchy

Hi Experts,

Can we assign a user 2 different hierarchies on the basis of items. For certain items, the approval should go to Mr. A and for other items, it should go to Mr. B. As  starting this config, I have created 2 different hierarchies and then assigned them to 2 users. Then these both position were assigned to a user in "Reporting To" option. I also included approval document in both approving authorities list. But, System is showing only one (existing) authorities name in Approval screen.

We are using R12 and Position base Hierarchy

Can anyone help me to  resolve complete this task
