failed to install 8.1.1.14 and 8.1.1.14.1

Hi,

today was one of these days I'm most scared of: patching or upgrading Siebel. It's often a nightmare and a bag of frustration.

I typically wait for a first patchset, hoping for a more stable version.

So I gave it a go.

to make my day easier, I  just upgraded an existing local sample client (web client + tools) installation (8.1.1.13) to the newer 8.1.1.14 version.

tools worked fine, as usual.

the web client did work fine, as usual.

the install itself worked sort of fine (I only had a IE crash during the activeX installation), but it was impossible to launch the sample client (using new sample DB and new SRF) in "Hi Interactivity" and in Open UI modes (firefox, chrome, Opera)
