Restore decommissioned database backup

Hello All,

We have taken database RMAN cold backup (in mount stage) to Tape with Keep until time as 999. Now i have performed decommission of the database and unregistered it from catalog. In this case if we need to restore the database again before retention (999 days) is it possible? If so, can i have some steps to do so?

Here is my assumption to do it, please correct me if it requires correction -

1. Install binaries ( as Binaries as well has been removed after decommission)

2. Create blank database (with same name)

3. Register it to catalog

4. Restore backup using TAG

(Please refer document id which has clear steps to do the same helps me).
