DeDifference Between Cummlative Balance and YTD Balance

Dear,

Please let me knwo the good and actual example to understand about the difference between Cummlative Balance and YTD Balance also. when I do the Account balances inquiry for the Curren Year then he cummulative balances show only this year transaction but I have a balances also in the previous year.
