What is Project Funding ?

Hi,

I'm new into PA, i come from a technical background and even though have read everything about Funding in Project Billing.. i just can't understand the concept of funding and how it must equal the Revenue Budget.

May you please give me a real life example on some project about project funding ?

For example a Project with an Agreement of 100,000 $

Who usually fund the Project ? and How Funding Amount is usually determined in projects ?
