Migrating a critical Database

Hi everyone

I'm about to migrate a very critical database on a new server AIX 7.1 64 bits.

The actual version of DB is 11.2.0.1 EE and i'm wondering if i should migrate directly to Oracle Server 12cR1 or 11.2.0.4.4 ?!

Personally, and regarding the criticality of the application hold by my DB, i prefer to migrate first to 11GR2, latest version, and then wait until 12c R2 is available on my plate-form.

Can u advise please or maybe share any similar case.
