APP-INV-05681: Value must be a number

Hi,

For one of our inventory organizations we have enabled Lot and serial control.

Usually for our medicament's lot information is composed, (as it should be) of starting prefix and starting number, but we have same exceptions. For Example: Item X --- Lot 14A22A

When the user registers Lot information, for i.e: Starting Prefix = 14A Starting number = 22A the  error message appear APP-INV-05681: Value must be a number.

Can I change format type for 'Starting number' to Char?

Any suggestion?
