Leave Balance Deduction from 2015

Dear All,

I would like to know – How system should update leave balance for Year end December Month ?

We have Employee who applied the Leave on December 2014 month and manager approves the leave on January 2015. Now here system deducts the Leave from the 2015 Leave Balance instead of 2014 Leave Balance.

What is intended functionality?  Are we missing anything in setup?
