How to handle Bank Merges (moving branches from one Bank to Another)

Hi,

we have setup two Banks "xyz" and "abc" and there are multiple branches under each Bank and each Branch has multiple supplier accounts created/associated

now bank "xyz" is taken-over by Bank "abc".

How to move all the branches and Accounts from "xyz" to "abc"?

one option I think of is end-date all the Branches and Accounts under "xyz" and re-create them under "abc", but this is very time consuming and lots of manual work.

is there any better way to move the Branches/accounts from one Bank to another Bank???
