How to Identify Entities in HFM with no data

We are currently working on cleaning up our metadata in preparation for a significant systems project and we are trying to find a way to identify entities within our HFM structure that have no data as of a certain period (i.e. No data since P12 2012) or to idenity any entities that have never had any data.  I know we could create smart view files that could go through every account for every entity by year but that would be an extremely tedious and cumbersome process.  Is there any other way that we can run something within the system to
